From the obituary of Jesse E Gideon LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois Co. MO, Fri. July 4, 1947. He is survived by four brothers: John Calvin Gideon of Bismarck; Homer Z. Gideon of St. Louis; Lehman Alfred Gideon of Farmington; and Luther M. Gideon of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters: Mrs. Laura Alice Brown of Leadwood; Mrs. Ibbie Rapp of Farmington; and Mrs. Birdie Lamont of Flat River

So, WHY is John Calvin not listed with J L and Emma on the 1880 census?
And WHY is there no Sallie on the 1900 census? She would be 20 years old and therefore could well be on her own.
And WHO is Mrs, Ollie [Laura Alice] Brown - could this be the Sallie from 1880?
